The challenge of education is to acknowledge the inherent dignity of every individual in a spirit of solidarity that benefits all. It is governed by the common good of every citizen especially the young  whose hands the future lies. Towards this end, the Colegio De San Juan De Letran subscribes to the Education For All (EFA) Declaration of the United Nation. Moreover, Article XIV of our Constitution (Education,  Science, Arts and Culture Technology) states that “ The State shall encourage non-formal, indigenous learning systems as well as self learning, independent and out-of-school study programs particularly those that respond to community needs.”

It is our experience that some learners are dislocated by the school system itself. Many students who have been asked to leave school due to poor grades and misconduct find difficulty being accepted in other schools. This is detrimental to the learners when transition from childhood to adulthood is being experienced as a crucial adjustment. It is also detrimental to society, which carries the burden brought about by the social problems created by out-of-school youths.

The Colegio de San Juan de Letran does not want to rest on its laurels of having a rich heritage and having produced illustrious alumni saints, heroes and presidents. Colegio De San Juan De Letran wants to continuously make itself relevant in the 21st century as well as for its graduates to be dynamic builders and leaders of communities.
