Academic Awards
(Given after the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters)

Quarterly Honors
– Given to students whose general average in any quarter is at least 90 %. They must not have any grade below 85% during the quarter.

(Given during the Recognition Day Program)
Academic Honors
- Given to the first ten (10) students in the top section who obtain the ten highest general averages at the end of the 4th quarter provided that said general averages are at least 90% . The candidate for the top ten must be in the honor roll for three(3) consecutive quarters. These awardees are designated as First Honors, Second Honors, Third Honors, up to tenth Honors.

Non-Academic Awards

Effort Award
a.) Each section is entitled to one award in EFFORT.
b.) The pupil who obtains the highest final rating in Effort becomes the section’s candidate for this award provided the final rating is at least 88%.

Conduct Award

a.) Each section is entitled to one award in Conduct.
b.) The pupil who obtains the highest final rating in G.M.R.C. becomes the
section’s candidate for this award provided that the said final rating is
at least 88%.

St. Martin de Porres Award (Christian Living)
a.) Each section is entitled to one award in Christian Living.
b) The section’s candidate for this award is the pupil who obtains the highest final rating
in Christian Living in his class provided that the said final rating is at least 90%.
c.) He must not have been subjected to any disciplinary action during the school year.

Attendance Award
This award is given to any pupil who did incur any absence or tardiness during the school year in all curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities requiring his presence.

Sports Award
Any student who meets the following requirements receives this award:
a.) Fulfills the minimum requirements prescribed in all his subjects.
b.) Is an official member of good standing of a team
c.) Has not been subjected to any disciplinary action regarding his participation in any sports activity or competition during the school year.

Arts Award
Any student who meets the following requirements:
a) Must have performed with distinction as an individual or a member of a group by
copping any of the first three places in any school, district, regional, or national
competition.
b) Must have performed with distinction as an active member, performer, or
director in any school-authorized drama, dance production or choral production
as determined by the person-in-charge.

Service Award
Any student who obtains any of the following awards: Outstanding Boy Scout and Outstanding Knight of the Altar based on the criteria of each organization.

Interscholastic Award
a.) Must have won first, second or third place in any school sanctioned interschool academic competition in and out of the school.
b.) Must have been given a special award, recognition and or public commendation for outstanding performance in any discipline by any reputable school-accredited organization.


Awards Given on Graduation Day

Graduation Honors
This award is given to the five (5) graduating pupils who meet the following requirements:
a.) Must have obtained the first five (5) highest total general averages based on the following criteria:

Quality Weight
Scholarship and Character 9
Co-curricular Activities 1


Scholarship and character shall be based on the pupils’ achievement in Grade Six only in the following areas:
• Dramatics,
• Scouting
• Religious Activities
• Clubs and Organizations
• Sports
• Community Services

b.) No grade below 85% in any quarter.
c.) Must have been enrolled in the Colegio during his last two curriculum years in the elementary level.

Said awardees are designated as Valedictorian, Salutatorian, First Honorable Mention,
Second Honorable Mention and Third Honorable Mention.

Bro. Diego de Sta. Maria, O.P. award
This is the highest award given by the Colegio to the pupil who earns the following awards:
• Class Valedictorian
• Effort or Conduct Award
• Any one Non-Academic Award.


Scholarships

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP
Only the top three recipients of the academic honors in each grade level from Prep to grade Six shall be given the academic scholarship.

First Honors - 100% discount on tuition fee
Second Honors - 75% discount on tuition fee
Third Honors - 50% discount on tuition fee

RECTOR’S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Qualifications
A pupil applying in the Rector’s Scholarship Program must:
• belong to the top 20% of the graduating batch in the Pre-school as certified by the Principal or the Registrar
• Pass the qualifying examinations given by the Colegio
• Pass an interview to be administered by the respective academic heads
• Be of good moral character as certified by the Principal or Guidance Counselor

Only the pupil-applicant with the highest number of points garnered in the screening process shall qualify for the program.

Benefits / Privileges

The recipient of the program will enjoy the following benefits:
• Full discount on tuition, miscellaneous and various fees
• Monthly allowance for ten (10) months

Retention Policy
Recipients of the Program shall maintain their scholarship status in every term. They should have a general weighted average (GWA) of at least 90 with no grade lower than 87, and must be an officer or active member of any recognized organization in the Colegio. He/She must also be an active participant in the Colegio’s and / or Department’s outreach programs; and must be involved in academic research and not subjected to any disciplinary action.
