Rector's Scholarship Program

The Program
Colegio de San Juan de Letran provides an opportunity for the academically outstanding students to pursue their education through the Rector's Scholarship Program. The Program is part of Letran's commitment and dedication to academic excellence and outstanding scholastic achievement.

Eligibility
The following are eligible to apply:
  • Grade One - Elementary
  • Freshmen - High School
  • Freshmen - Collegiate in the areas of:
          - BS Accountancy
          - AB Communication Arts
          - BS Secondary Education

    Criteria/Qualifications 

    Student-applicant must:
  • Belong to the top 20% of the graduating batch, as certified by the Principal or the Registrar
  • Pass the qualifying examinations given by the Colegio
  • Pass an interview to be administered by the respective academic heads
  • Be of good moral character as certified by the High School Principal or the Guidance Counselor. 

    Benefits and Privileges
    Recipients will enjoy the following benefits:
  • Full discount on tuition, miscellaneous and various fees
  • Monthly Allowance

Retention Policy 
Recipients of the Program shall maintain their scholarship status in every term. They should:
  • Have a general weighted average (GWA) of at least 90 with no grade lower than 87 for elementary and high school students; and a GWA of 95 with no grade lower than 88 for collegiate students
  • Be an officer or active member of any recognized organization in the Colegio
  • Be an active member of the Colegio's and /or Department's outreach programs.
  • Be involved in academic research
  • Not have been subjected to any disciplinary action
