The Library Services is a department under the Academic Affairs Division housed at the St. Thomas Building. It is an integral part of the instructional program of Colegio de San Juan de Letran. It is equipped with resources and facilities necessary to influence student achievement and thus increase their opportunity for success.

Services
Circulation Services.
In order to avail of this service, faculty and students are advised to apply for library account validation. ID must be presented in all library transactions. See loan policies for your reference and information.
Information and Reference Services.
Direct instruction and assistance are given to users on the use of reference resources and facilities in the office of the library and media resources. Librarians and staff are available for consultation and can assist library users in their library research and use of information services.
Referral.
Referral letters are issued to researchers to source out materials from other libraries in case such holdings are not available in the Letran Library. Outside researchers are also allowed to use the library collections subject to the rules and regulations of the Letran library.
Faculty and students of Letran may avail of this service by completing the referral request form. For students, a maximum group of four (4) can be entertained per school is allowed. Be sure that the completed form must be properly endorsed by the professor and have it forward to the Reference Section located at 4th floor of the St. Thomas Bldg. Application for referral letter must be done 2 days prior to the actual date of intended visit.
Bibliographic Services
To further support the instruction, faculty and students may request list of books/references for their respective courses. Bibliographic request can be done via phone call at 5277693 local 361, or by sending email at library@letran.edu and by visiting the office located at the 3rd floor of the St. Thomas Bldg.
Internet Service
The library space is Wi-Fi equipped, thus, whole academic community especially students can enjoy unlimited connection to the Internet. In addition, twenty (20) Internet workstations are also made available for students’ optimum use.
Additional computer units are installed in all sections, which serve as EBSCO Portals for research purposes. All these are with Internet connections.
Orientation.
Through this service, faculty members and students are introduced to the use of information sources, facilities and services of the library.
Indexing.
Indexing is provided for important newspaper articles and relevant journal articles. Clippings and vertical files are arranged in folders according to subject.
Printing and Photocopying Services
These services may be avail at the 3rd Floor of the St. Thomas Building.
Printing charges are as follows:
Colored - P 10.00 per page
Black - P 5.00 per page
Photocopying charges are as follows:
Short - P 1.00 per copy
Long - P 1.50 per copy |
