The Basic Education-High School department celebrated Nutrition Month from July 12 to 30 with  activities participated by students and faculty members.

With this year’s theme “Sa Wastong Pagkaing Tama at Sapat, Wastong Timbang ni Baby and Katapat,” students joined the drawing contest (first year), poster making (second year), movie maker (third year), and essay writing (fourth year) during their Technology and Livelihood Education (T.L.E.) class.

On July 30, the squires prepared fruit shakes and salads, such as macaroni, fruit, and buko with the supervision of their class advisers.

The objectives of this year’s program are to be aware of proper nutrition, to showcase creativity in interpreting the theme through drawing and writing, and to prepare nutritious but inexpensive food.

Winners were awarded cash prizes during the Basic Education’s flag ceremony on August 9.

The winners in the different categories were: fruit shake making, Class 1-419 (of Leah Donasco); poster making, Patricia Bianca Taculao  (Class 1-419); macaroni salad, Class 11-314 (of Nenita Pascual); poster making, Marc Catre (Class 11-314); fruit salad , Class 111-316 (of Rodrigo Murillo); short film, Kenzo Rodis (111-217); buko salad, Class 1V-319; and essay writing, Lanz Angelo Valeriano (1V-320).
