The Letran Grupo de Fil-Chinos held its third foundation on August 5 at Annapolis Seafood Restaurant on Annapolis Street, Greenhills.

A dynamic non-profit organization composed of Filipino-Chinese alumni, it has become one of the leading organizations giving assistance to Letran.

During the gathering, the Colegio acknowledged the projects of the group for 2009-2010 which included the classroom-naming right with donor Lincoln Yao, the donation of air-conditioning unit in the gym with donor Charlie Yu, and the donations of banners for the school and fans for the National Collegiate Athletic Association opening.

The Letran fathers led by Fr. Tamerlane R. Lana, O.P., Capt. Ben Hur Gomez, Justo Ortiz, Col. and Mrs. Julian Malonso, Fil-Chino members, student members of the Letran Chinese Students Association and friends attended the affair.

A raffle capped the party with Eugenio Yu, the group’s vice president winning the major prize, a water closet set courtesy of Royal Tern Ceramics. He donated his prize to Fr. Joemar Sibug, O.P., for the Camiguin mission.

Alex Wang is the current president of the grupo.
