Every year, the Letran Alumni Association, Inc. (LAA) in cooperation with the Center for Community Development (CCD) and the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) organize a bloodletting and medical/dental mission.
This year, the LAA urged the Letran community to donate blood for the needy. Every member of the Letran community—alumni, students, employees—participated in the endeavor of the LAA and the CCD.
Donors who passed the screening process and capability testing to donate blood were given a donor card, which serves as a testimony of their “unselfish support for those who are in need of blood.” The donor card also serves as assurance that when it is his or her time of need for blood, priority will be given him or her by the PNRC.
All blood donations were turned over to the PNRC.
On the same day, alumni doctors and dentists organized the medical/dental mission wherein residents of Brgy. 655, Intramuros, Manila, one of the partner communities of Letran, were the recipients.
