College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) dean Prof. Cristina M. Cabral participated in the Macau Familiarization Tour sponsored by the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) on May 15 to 18. The familiarization trip aimed to provide the officials of different schools with first-hand knowledge and experience on what Macau can offer for Student Excursion trips, mainly in terms of tourism facilities, services, entertainment options, and other education-related activities.

Dean Cabral discovered that "Macau is not all about casinos, and Hong Kong is not only about shopping; magaganda din ang hotels and restaurants." In the future, she plans to send CBAA students to Macau and Hong Kong, particularly the Hotel Management and Tourism Management students, for the educational experience and other possibilities that will enhance their marketability in the job market. Letran's tie with Macau, according to Cabral, "is a big deal."

"The Colegio is privileged to get students' discounts for trips," she said, adding, "As Letran’s representative, I was even able to personally see the sites that are educational in nature."

The MGTO shouldered the roundtrip ticket (Manila-Hong Kong-Macau-Manila) with ferry ticket of Hong Kong to Macau and four-day/three-night land arrangements in Macau that included hotel accommodation at the Grand Lapa Hotel, meals, local transportations, guided tours, entrance tickets to attractions, Philippine Travel Tax, and Manila airport terminal fee.
