Current members and alumni of Colegio de San Juan de Letran's premier theater group, Teatro de Letran (TDL), attended the general assembly (GA) at the Mabini Hall on July 7.

TDL president Kyle Mamangon led the proceedings with the introduction of the alumni who were present at the GA, introduction of the officers, as well as the discussion of plans for this school year, especially the 2nd theater season of TDL.

G-bert Tongo of Star Cinema, Mark Norella of GMA-7, Carlo Domingo of Stream Global Services, and businesswoman Meridien Cruz-Salgado were among the notable alumni present at the GA.

"I'm happy to see familiar and new faces gathered together because of a common passion, theater. I'm glad that TDL has opened an opportunity for its alumni to once again share the passion with the Letran community and its graduates," Domingo said.

The TDL alumni will work with the current members to mount their production of "Lason," tentatively scheduled for November of this year.

TDL's second theater season officially kicks off with "Ang Kalakalabit na Sumbungan" directed by Yodelherson Mortiga, scheduled for August. The other productions for the season are "Doc Ressurecion: Gagamutin ang Bayan," "Lab Fest," and the much-awaited "Liem the Musical."
