Squires named champs in dance contest

 Capturing the admiration of its audience, including its competitors, the Letran Squires Dance Troupe bagged the grand prize of the Children’s Museum and Library, Inc. (CMLI) Street Dance competition during its 48th Annual National Convention at the Teacher’s Camp in Baguio City on October 29.
The dance contest was part of the fun-and-learning activities which included news, essay, and poetry writing, poster making, singing contest, debate, pop quiz and talent variety show.
The convention aimed to gather high school students nationwide and develop friendship, leadership, and good character among them.
The affair was participated in by Lourdes School of Quezon City, Colegio de San Juan Agustin Makati and Biñan, Nueva Ecija High School, Sacred Heart of Cebu, UP High School Iloilo, St. Scholastica’s College Manila, St. Paul College Pasig and Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Calamba and Intramuros.
The Squires’ troupe was clearly the crowd’s favorite as delegates from other schools cheered and applauded during its performance, even when Master Allen Jake Roldan was named Best Male Dancer.
Letran Intramuros was represented by Nicolai Delgado, David Tankiang, Kentharvy Dela Cruz, Reginald Gutierrez, Marrion Arrelano, Ezekiel Corpuz, Beam Sta. Ana, Ramon Cabayu, Emmanuel Andaya, and Jake Roldan, with Soledad Boquiren, the Supreme Student Council adviser.
