Coach and member of the Letran Taekwondo Varsity Team who were part of the Philippines Delegation was enable to garner medals in the recently concluded Chung Cheong World Taekwondo Championships held last July 1-5, 2004 at the Chung Cheong University, Korea. The members underwent a tough selection for the delegation that will represent the country. Fifty-six countries competed in the event to vie for the title and it was graced by some of the best players in the world. Aside from that, the competition was also a tune-up game for the Olympians prior to the upcoming Athens Olympics this August.
Knowing this tough competitions, the Philippines was still able to garner medals in the said event, proving once more to the world that the team still belong on top of the line and still classified as World Class Athletes in the field of Taekwondo, hence emerged as 4th place in the over-all standing.
