Basketball... Ito ang game ko!

Even the harshest heat waves of summer weren’t able to stop Letran with its objective of uplifting people’s lives within its adopted communities.On April 23, the Collegiate Community Department (CCD) through the coordination of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA), organized a sports activity dubbed “Basketball… Ito ang game ko!” for the benefit of Lower Barangay Community (Lobaca), Brgy. San Antonio, Parañaque City, an adopted community of CBAA.
The objective of the said activity was to foster harmonious relationship between the Letran community and residents of the adopted communities, as well as to promote good health through sports.
Twelve teams in all participated, both coming from Letran and its adopted communities, which were the following: One team each from Baranggay Lobaca, Baranggay Sawata and Baranggay 655; another team each from Tau Gamma Fraternity, Fraternal Order of Knights, and Letran Youth for Christ. There were also teams composed of the athletes, student assistants, and Master in Business Administration students; the remaining two teams consisted of Letran employees.
Francis David, dean of the CBAA department, and Ronald Dugang, acting head of the CCD, gave the ceremonial toss. Barangay Chairman Leo Bernadas spearheaded the working committee of the activity, with the help of Wilhelma Bangayan, Vincent Mapa, Carlo Esguerra, and Edgar Leoncio.
The activity ended on June 15 with the Barangay Lobaca team lording it over as the champion. Letran Employees Team B won the second place, while the Letran athletes and Baranggay 655 team won the third and fourth spot, respectively.
