Just like an old story told, this year’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) season gives the Knights and the Squires the same spots they had last year.
The Knights finished the conference with a 12-6 record, making it as far as the semi-finals battle. After the first match with the Red Lions in the semis, the Knights finally bid goodbye to this year’s NCAA basketball conference.
On the other hand, the Squires, after making it in a finals match against the Red Cubs, fell short in the 3rd game against the Mendiola-based squads. Heavily favored Jarelan Tampus’ double-digit scores during the third and fourth quarter did not help the team in taking home the crown in the season.
Also, like last year, Knight Rafael Joey “RJ” Jazul and Squires Glenn Khobuntin and Jerelan Tampus were included in the coveted Mythical Five selection in their respective divisions.
