In celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Philippines-Korea Diplomatic Relations, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea held a cultural festival in which the Office of the Student and Cultural Affairs (OSACA) attended.
The event started with an opening ceremony headed by Ambassador Joong Kyung Choi on November 25 at Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater). A cocktail reception was hosted by the Embassy followed by a gala concert dubbed “Korean Fantasy: Dance of Chun-Hyang” featuring a unique traditional dances performed by the National Dance Company of Korea (NDCK).
On November 26, another musical event highlighted the occasion, which staged a percussion performance known as Salmulnori, a modernized stage adaptation of a ritualistic celebration presented by the Noreum-Machi troupe. The program includes a captivating percussion dialogues, shamanic chants and acrobatic dances.
